Our Story
Cherry Component Solutions was started in 1997 and led to the incorporation of Cherrytech Ltd in 2001. Cherrytech has continued to grow year on year and currently employs 150 staff across the 2 sites.
Here is a summary of the growth of Cherrytech since incorporation:
1997 – Cherry Component Solutions started trading in electronic components
1998 – Started PCB and cable assembly
2001 – Cherrytech Ltd Incorporated and moved to a factory in Portsmouth
2002 – Opened an Asia Office
2003 – Cherrytech Asia established
2004 – Cherrytech Asia moved into new premises expanding production facility and employing 150 people
2005 – HQ moved to larger premises in Waterlooville
2006 – Cherrytech Asia introduced new office space
2007 – Purchase of additional land to allow the expansion
2012 / 2013 – Continued investment into Asia with introduction of new machinery & air conditioning
2015 / 2016 – Moved to new Headquarters in UK expanding Production and warehouse facilities
2017 – Quarndon Components acquired
2018 – Purchase of new Juki pick & place machine in Asia and new SMT printer & Essemtec reflow oven in UK
2022 – Purchase of 2 new in-line AOI machines for Asia & UK
2023 – UK production operation expanded with the major building work and the introduction of a second SMT line.
