Cherrytech Explores Opportunities in the Space Industry

The future of electronics manufacturing is closely tied to the industries shaping tomorrow including the rapidly growing space sector.

Cherrytech Group was honoured to receive an invitation from GISTDA, Geo-informatics and Space Technology Development Agency to attend the 1st Workshop on the Study of Marketing Promotion Guidelines for Satellite Parts. Our Planning Manager, Sujiwan Keawsai based in Thailand, represented Cherrytech at the event, joining government representatives, industry experts, academics, and business leaders to discuss the future of Thailand’s space economy.

The workshop provided valuable insights into GISTDA’s efforts to strengthen Thailand’s role in the global space industry by fostering innovation, advanced manufacturing, and collaboration across sectors. It also highlighted new opportunities for Thai companies to participate in the growing space technology ecosystem.

For Cherrytech, this discussion was particularly meaningful as we have previously been awarded a contract to manufacture printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for satellite applications, supporting projects for GISTDA and a UK-based world-leading satellite manufacturer. This experience reflects our commitment to delivering high-reliability electronics for advanced and mission-critical technologies while reinforcing our readiness to support emerging opportunities in the space sector.

As an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider, Cherrytech remains committed to supporting innovation and exploring opportunities in emerging industries. We sincerely thank GISTDA for the invitation and for bringing together leaders from across government, academia, and industry to help shape the future of Thailand’s space economy.
